The well known American health care companies Welltok and National Kidney Foundation has recently launched a wonderful pilot program according to which members of Aetna, another famous health care company, will be provided with support in chronic kidney diseases. The program will run in such a way that Aetna will first identify all of its members who are suffering with chronic kidney disease (CKD) for Welltok’s CaféWell Chronic Kidney Disease Community. This member will then be communicating with the patients of CKD who are trained by the National Kidney Foundation while the communication will be done online. In the program the patients or participants will be guided on how to manage the disease what nutrients to take, treatment options and to live well.

The vice precedent, chief innovation and digital officer of Aetna has said that the company believe that this program will help the members or the patients in being more proactive and will make them able to manage their condition by themselves. He also added that in order to achieve better clinical results and higher quality of life social support and early intervention will be needed.
